SCDP Convention - April 2007

SCDP Convention was on Saturday. Candidates who spoke were Richardson, Edwards and Biden. Congressman James Clyburn spoke. Out-going State Chair, Jim Irwin spoke. Beverly Dore, Chair of the Beaufort County Democratic Party won the Chairman’s Award from the State Democratic Party.

SCDP elected new officers:
Chair: Carol Khare Fowler, 1st Vice Chair of the SCDP
1st Vice Chair: Wilber Lee Jeffcoat, from Mt. Pleasant, past Chair Lexington County DP
2nd Vice Chair: Charles Hamby, from Townville, past Oconee County DP Chair
3rd Vice Chair: Joey Oppermann, from Anderson, law student at USC
