The Democratic Club of Beaufort County South of the Broad sponsored a luncheon on Tuesday March 9^th at which the featured speaker was Rob Miller.   Mr. Miller is the democratic candidate from the 2^nd District who will oppose Joe Wilson of “you lie” fame for a seat in the House of Representatives.

    The luncheon was a great success.  The over 100 members of South of the Broad had the chance to hear first hand about Mr. Miller and his goals and aspirations for the people of the Low Country.

     Mr. Miller placed great emphasis on his aim to serve the people of South Carolina first and foremost.  He told his personal story as a citizen of the Low Country, a family man and a United States Marine and how those experiences formed his philosophy of governing.  He promised that the well being of the people of South Carolina would be his primary objective if elected to serve in the House of Representatives.

    This luncheon program provided the members of  South of the Broad an opportunity to meet the candidate, engage in face to face interchanges regarding topics of interest and arrive at an informed decision as to the candidate’s ability to govern.
